Competitive Program
Precision Dance offers a progressive competitive program for dancers who wish to train more intensively and perform at competitions. With the exception of the pre-competitive team, dancers are placed by audition at the end of each season: typically in June. All dancers are required to take:
-
Ballet (level appropriate)
-
Jazz/Lyrical technique class
-
Conditioning class (45 minutes)
Competitive dancers may also enroll in additional training classes, to support strength, technical development, and injury prevention, such as;
-
Competitive Acro Technique: designed to help dancers develop stronger acrobatic skills for use in choreography.
-
Competitive Tap: where dancers would learn one tap piece for competition. Open to dancers aged 7 and up with at least one year of competitive experience.
-
Competitive Hip-Hop: where dancers would learn one hip-hop piece for competition. Open to dancers aged 7 and up with at least one year of competitive experience.
