ASSOCIATION DE DANSE DE PRÉCISION
Competitive Program
Program Overview
Precision Dance offers a progressive competitive program for dancers who wish to train more intensively and perform at competitions. With the exception of the pre-competitive team, dancers are placed by audition at the end of each season: typically in June. All dancers are required to take:
-
Ballet (level appropriate)
-
Jazz/Lyrical technique class
-
Conditioning class (45 minutes)
Competitive dancers may also enroll in additional training classes, to support strength, technical development, and injury prevention, such as;
-
Competitive Acro Technique: designed to help dancers develop stronger acrobatic skills for use in choreography.
-
Competitive Tap: where dancers would learn a tap piece for competition.
Pre-Competitive Team

In addition to choreography rehearsal, Team Spark dancers are required to take a recreational Jazz/Lyrical class to support their technique development.

Additional Competitive Options
Competitive dancers may also choose to compete in solos, duos, and/or trios. Precision Dance can help facilitate connecting individuals with choreographers for these pieces upon request. It is the responsibility of the dancer/dancer's family to arrange studio time to learn, practice, and clean these dances. All payments for individual dances are paid directly to the choreographer or persons hired to clean the dance.
